What BHS' 2018-20 Football District Might Look Like

With the OSSAA releasing its tentative enrollment numbers on Wednesday, it doesn't take much imagination to see what Bartlesville High's football district might look like.

Assuming the tentative numbers become official, the Bruins will again compete in 6A-II football. Bartlesville High has been a 6A-II school since 2014 when the OSSAA split 6A into two separate divisions for football. BHS will be 6A in all other sports.

Other 6A-II football teams will include:

Putnam City, Sand Springs, Bixby, Putnam City West, Choctaw, Lawton, Stillwater, Muskogee, Edmond Deer Creek, Ponca City, Sapulpa, Midwest City, Shawnee, Booker T. Washington, and Del City.

The OSSAA will release football districts for 2018-20 within the next couple of months, but Bartlesville's east-side eight-team district will likely look similar to how it looks today:

Bartlesville

Sand Springs

Bixby

Muskogee

Ponca City

Sapulpa

Booker T. Washington

Those are the seven schools on the eastern half of the state. The addition of Stillwater High as the eighth team would make the most geographical sense.

That would make a western district of:

Putnam City

Putnam City West

Choctaw

Lawton

Deer Creek

Midwest City

Shawnee

Del City
