The school year ends this week for Bartlesville Public School and joining us on COMMUNITY CONNECTION was BPS Supt. Chuck McCauley.
Mr. McCauley reminded everyone that the graduating seniors were in 8th grade when COVID hit and changed the way schools operated for a while. He also congratulated all the seniors for their hard work.
Graduation is set for Friday at Bartlesville High School. For those who cannot attend in-person, you can watch it on or listen on KWON AM 1400/FM 93.3 - 95.1.
McCauley said that the schools fared well through the tornado on May 6. School was called off on May 7th, but classes resumed in all but Wilson School until the power there was restored. He was relieved and thankful the schools were spared any terrible damage and that the newly constructed Ag Center was unharmed.
