Pawhuska High School Principal Bron Williams recently proposed a points system to the Board of Education that Williams hopes will better define how punishments should be handled. He added that as someone who has seen this implemented at other schools, it make students think before acting out.

Board President Justin Turney said one of the things he liked most about the proposed system was it would show the students who are defiant and show other trends such as that. Williams goes on to say that with the new system, even if a student were to do something bad early in the semester, they won't see a major punishment as long as they correct their behavior.

The Board went on to pass the new points system.
