The Washington County Commissioners met for their regular Monday meeting, with both Mike Dunlap and Mitch Antle present but Mike Bouvier absent.

The Commissioner’s dealt with some items involving the recent tornado’s storm damage in Washington County.

The County has received some Rapid Fund Return through a grant with DEQ up to $5,000 per district in Washington County. This will help get the money to the county faster than it would through FEMA.

Commissioner Mike Dunlap gave kudos to Mitch Antle for helping get the funds.

The Commissioners also both thanked US Representative Josh Brecheen for touring some of the damage with the county on Saturday morning.

Also at the meeting, the Commissioners thanked and accepted a $57,000 donation from the Cherokee Nation to the Washington County Free Fair.

Antle and Dunlap showed their appreciation for the donation.

At 10:00 there was a bid opening for Six-month road materials for June-November of this year.
