Best of 2025: Indians Take Back Winget

As the 2025 calendar year winds down we are going to start recapping some of the best sports stories from Northeast Oklahoma and the Bartlesville area.
Today we are going to the middle of the summer, as a couple of veterans gave the Doenges Toyota Indians a Glen Winget Tournament championship.
The Tribe won the Glen Winget Tournament for the first time since 2018 in dramatic fashion. The Indians topped the Bryant Black Sox 3-2 to grab the title.
The Indians had lead 3-0 then 3-2 entering the bottom of the seventh when things turned wacky.
The Blacksox loaded the bases with nobody out, before Grant Clark, Bryce Leulf and Sam Marcella turned a double play to keep the Indians in front.
It was ultimately a 5h year Indian in Kael Siemers that gave Bartlesville the title.
Hits were more frequent early in the ballgame, the Tribe put up all three of their runs in the top of the first, and all with two outs.
This two-RBI knock by another Indians vet, Grant Clark, put the Tribe up 3-0.
Siemers would take home the Winget MVP for his effort. He was fantastic the entire summer.
