Caney Valley is hoping to be an improved football team in the area, led by a key group of returning starters and a new classification.

Head Coach Steven Mitchell says he feels their re-alignment gives them a shot to make some noise in 2024.

Despite a tough 0-10 season in 2023, the Trojans are projected to bring 13 of 22 starting positions back from last year, including Senior wide receiver and defensive back Seth Perkins. Mitchell announced on the Coaches Breakfast Show that Perkins will a Captain for this year's team.

Upon hearing that, here was Perkins reaction.

Caney Valley opens the season with Barnsdall on Friday, August 30 at 7 pm.
