Checking in With OKU Girls Basketball

 

Oklahoma Union Lady Cougar basketball is through one semester of basketball this season.

 

Right now, OKU sits at 0-7, but is currently dealing with some injuries to key players. Head coach Angie Thomas talked about a few younger players that have stepped up.

Depth has become an issue as a result of the injury bug. OKU was nearly forced to play with five players due to injuries and early foul trouble against Caney Valley (OK).

The Lady Cougars came close to picking up their first win in the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament in Nowata against Chelsea in a three point loss.

Heading into the second half of the season, Thomas talked about getting healthy again out of the break.

 

The Lady Cougars will return on Jan. 2 for Ketchum.
