Class B Hoops Playoffs Underway

 

Had some playoff games on Thursday night across Northeast Oklahoma, as the Class B girls’ basketball teams started their District tournaments. On Friday night, it is the boy’s turn.

On Thursday evening, South Coffeyville moved past the first round. Lions beat up on Oilton, 65-13. Elsewhere, Copan beat Welch, 40-33. Wesleyan Christian School girls were eliminated from the postseason. Lady Mustangs lost to Shidler, 57-20.

Copan girls will face Shidler for a District title on Saturday night. South Coffeyville in the same spot against a good Frontier girls’ team.

On Friday, both Barnsdall teams face Woodland in Garber in the Class A Districts.

Meanwhile the Copan boys will face Welch (6:00) and the Wesleyan Christian School guys will take on Shidler (7:30) from WCS in Bartlesville.

All the first round games are elimination contests.
