Copan Eyes Revenge v. Quapaw

 

High school basketball tournaments still kicking toward the end of this week.

Copan and Nowata are both hosting events locally.

The Copan guys are into the winner’s bracket of their own shootout on Thursday night. The Hornets will have a rematch against Quapaw Thursday evening in the semifinals of the event. 

Copan is coming off a round one win on Monday evening against Bluejacket, 59-36. The Hornets are off to a 5-1 start to begin the year.

Second-year head coach Kolton Stacy says his club is surging thanks to fantastic point-guard play. 

Copan played Quapaw in a regular season game last week. A road game against the 2A foe, and it was a 49-48 overtime loss.

Quapaw got a round-one win over Foyil to advance to play the Hornets in the semis.

Stacy says the stage is set for his team to make others believe this weekend. 

Cedar-Vale Dexter vs. Barnsdall is the other guy’s semifinal.
