Dewey Lady Bulldogger softball opens regional action on Thursday in Dewey.

Dewey won their district with a perfect 12-0 record, the Lady Bulldoggers host their regional with Valliant and Beggs. Valliant enters the postseason with a record of 18-10, Beggs is 8-15.

Head coach Riley Allen talked about the regional pairings.

Dewey finished the regular season with an overall record of 27-7, and wrapped up the regular season with a 5-2 win against Bartlesville on Tuesday night. Dewey went 4-1 against 6A teams during the regular season.

If Dewey is able to escape the three-team regional, the Lady Bulldoggers will advance to the area rounds, or super regionals, and need to win two more games to advance to the state tournament.

Allen talked about some things he's looking out for during regionals.

Dewey will play their first playoff game on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. against the winner of Valliant and Beggs.
