Dewey Track Prepares for State Meet

Dewey track & field will be in full force at the 3A state meet on Friday and Saturday, after an impressive run through regionals last weekend.
The Dewey girl's squad continues to put up stellar results, the team finished as regional runner-ups, qualifying the team as a whole for state.
Some highlights on the girl's side include the four regional championships they took home in Chisholm last weekend. Camryn Jones won titles in the high jump and long jump, Lacey Nichols won in discus and Londyn Bond won in the shot put. Kyla Overton finished second in the shot put and third in the discus.
On the track, Jones finished third in the 400 meter dash. In the 100 meter hurdles, Chanley Herren finished second and Eden Mckinney finished third.
On the guy's side, they'll be sending Keidon Holt and Kavery Weathers to state. Holt and Weathers finished first and second respectively in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.
Dewey will compete at the 3A state meet at Planview High School on Friday and Saturday.
