Huskies Look to Bounce Back Following First Loss of the Year
It is a next man up mentality in Pawhuska, as key cogs to the offensive line and front seven on defense are either out or will be limited in Friday night's homecoming game against Oklahoma Union. Coach Matt Hennesy said that building depth is something that they had been doing a good job of all year, but added that some of those injuries occurred at inopportune spots.
One of those adjustments being made due to injuries is Wyatt Cosby moving from his defensive back position to outside linebacker. Trenton Reese will be moving to the inside linebacker spot to account for an Oklahoma Union quarterback, who Hennesy says could create problems as a dual threat quarterback. Hennesy said after watching film, he believes that if Pawhuska can play at their pace, they should be able to wear the Cougars down, despite the injuries.
Pawhuska's game against Oklahoma Union kicks off at 7 p.m. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. On 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
