Huskies Look to Make it to Class A-I Semis With a Win

The Pawhuska Huskies will be looking to keep their season alive on Friday night when they make the trip to Del City to take on Christian Heritage Academy in the quarterfinals of the Class A-I playoffs.

Due to an injury earlier in the year, coach Matt Hennesy says the Crusaders are down to their second quarterback, but that hasn't impaced the offense. He added that aside from the fact that Christian Heritage will take their time offensively, it is like looking in a mirror when watching film.

Long road trips is something that Pawhuska is plenty used to. Last year's team made a trip to Cashion and the 2021 Class A state semifinal team made the nearly four hour south to Elmore City. With it being a two and a half hour drive on Friday evening, Hennesy has mapped out what he thinks the best plan of attack would be.

Friday night's game starts at 7 p.m. with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. on 99.1 FM KPGM and KPGMTV.com.
