Huskies Lose Heartbreaker to Tulsa CHEF, Girls Dominate
It was the first home game of the year for Pawhuska on Monday evening, as they took on the Tulsa CHEF Arrows. The Lady Huskies came away with a dominating 61-26 win, while the boys fell, 41-40.
In the late-going of Pawhuska's one point loss to the Arrows, it turned into a free throw shooting contest. The final basket came with just over three minutes remaining. The bucket gave Pawhuska a late lead on this put back by Lane Kyler down low.
With 12 seconds left, Pawhuska had the ball down by a point, but Kyler missed a shot. The ball went out of bounds off of Tulsa CHEF, but on the inbounds pass, Jenson Snodgrass was unable to get his hands on it before the ball went out of bounds. Snodgrass led all scorers with 17 points.
The Lady Huskies led from wire-to-wire in their blowout victory. Defense led to offense all night long, much like this play by Madison Easley.
Brooklyn Miles and Hannah Reynolds eached finished in double figures.
Both Pawhuska teams take part in the Tahlequah Festival beginning on Thursday. Over that two day span, both teams will take on Okay and Keys. We will have both of those games on 99.1 FM KPGM and KPGMTV.com.
