Huskies Prepare for Tough Test at Woodland

The Pawhuska Huskies are coming off of a hard fought win over cross-county rival Hominy, but things don't get any easier this week for the Huskies, as they travel to Fairfax to take on Woodland as they get set to finish up non district play.

Coach Matt Hennesy acknowledged that Woodland and Hominy will both be two of the top teams vying for a state championship in Class A-II. That is one of many reasons he expects his team to get tested this week.

Hennesy says that Woodland mirrors Pawhuska in certain aspects, but offensively it will be Pawhuska who spreads the field and tries to go as quickly as possible. He added that after playing two Wing-T teams in Morrison and Pawnee, it is tough to judge how Woodland will line up defensively.

Friday night's game can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and will be streaming on KPGMTV.com. Pregame coverage will start at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
