Indians Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader in Tulsa

The Doenges Toyota Indians swept their doubleheader at O'Brien Park Monday evening against Tulsa Barons Gold.
 
The Indians took game one, 3-1, and game two, 5-2.
 
Pitching was dominant in each game, Bartlesville struck out 10 batters in each contest. Zane Griggs started the first game of the night, he pitched five innings of two-hit ball with one unearned run and nine strikeouts.
 
This strikeout from Griggs ended the third inning with the Indians leading, 3-0.
 
Lathe Griggs finished the job in relief with two perfect innings.
 
Pitching stayed dominant in game two with three arms combining for 10 more strikeouts. Easton Howard started the second game, he struck out three over three innings. Zach Hale struck out four over two innings and allowed just one hit. Coen Miller finished the second game, pitching the final two innings and striking out three.
 
The Indians' offense came to life late in the contest to give Miller run support. In the seventh, Kamen Sprague doubled to left-center field to stretch the lead back to two.
 
The double was Sprague's only hit of the game. The Indians finished the finale with 10 hits.
 
The wins give the Indians their first D-BAT league sweep of the summer. They are 10-2 on the season.
 
Bartlesville returns on Thursday to open the Twin Lakes Classic in Mountain Home, Ark.
