Nowata Guys Prep for Afton for Senior Night

 

Nowata basketball is set for Senior Night on Friday night in Nowata as they host the Afton Eagles. For Nowata, both teams lost on the road on Tuesday at Caney Valley to the Trojans. For the guys, it has been an up and down season this year in the first season for Head Coach Derick Ott.

The Ironmen have hit a wall their last 12 games, as they are 4-8 in those contests. They have also lost six of their last eight games. Although it’s been a tough season, Ott says he has really enjoyed his first season with the Ironmen.

For the final time this season, Ironmen seniors Kaleb Bashford, Michael Prince, Kaed Freeman, and Spencer Bullen will rep the white and maroon at home as they try to beat the Eagles. Ott, he talks about this senior group.

The 8-13 Ironmen will do battle with the 10-11 Eagles in Nowata Friday night with the girls starting at 6:30 and the guys to follow. We will have the guys game for you on KRIG 104.9 FM and KRIGTV.com.
