OKWU Baseball Returns Friday
Baseball at Oklahoma Wesleyan University starts this week, and the Eagles are looking to build off of last year's successes.
With an experienced bunch in Bartlesville a season ago, OKWU finished 47-11 overall and 30-6 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play. They won the regular season conference championship, but was knocked out in the opening rounds of the NAIA national tournament.
OKWU won their first 12 games last season and 19 of their first 20. It turned into their first 40-win season since 2021.
The Eagles open things up on Friday against Peru State University. Kelley talked about the busy schedule that lies ahead after opening day.
First pitch on Friday is set for 12 p.m. from Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
