Oklahoma Wesleyan University men’s basketball continues to roll, as the Eagles won again on Saturday over Tabor in a conference twin bill. The victory gets OKWU one game closer to clenching the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

On the women’s side first, Wesleyan battled the conference-leading Blue Jays but Tabor pulled away in the fourth quarter to grab a 70-55 win. Tabor shot 67-percent in the fourth quarter.

OKWU women drop to 8-16 overall and 6-12 in conference action.

On the men’s side OKWU pulled away in the final five minutes of the first half to get the win.

Eagles rolled Tabor, 94-65. The 94 points is a season-high for Wesleyan, who did it on a season-high 13 three-pointers.

Wesleyan forced 15 turnovers; this steal led to a bucket during a first-half Eagle run.

The second half was about three-pointers. Guarding a large lead Wesleyan’s bench let it fly from deep. One of the team's best threats, Nick Bene, went on an 8-0 run himself midway through the second half.

Eagle men won their 15th straight game and improved to 23-1 overall, 16-1 in conference play. Both teams make their longest trip of the season to York, Nebraska on Wednesday.
