OU & OK-State Still Kicking for Big 12 Title

Only one week of college football remains in the regular season, and the Big 12 title picture is still plenty murky.

Both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State survived scares on Saturday afternoon to keep themselves alive in the conversation.

OU struggled at BYU as a 24.5-point favorite. Oklahoma topped the Cougars in Provo, 31-24. The Sooner’s starting quarterback in Dillion Gabriel was not able to play in the second half after a head injury.

With BYU about to take the lead, this 14-point swing on a Sooner pick-six may have saved OU’s conference title hopes.

The Cougars had three turnovers on the day. OU gets its ninth win of the season. The Sooners host TCU at 11:00 on Friday morning in Norman.

Meanwhile Oklahoma State dug themselves a 14-point hole before reeling off 27-unanswered points in a win at Houston. Cowboys won 43-30 in front of a mostly Orange-clad crowd on the road.

Ollie Gordon managed three touchdowns on 164 yards playing through an injured ankle, including this score.

Oklahoma State wraps up its regular season at home against BYU on Saturday at 2:30 in Stillwater.
