Rule Changes for High School Hoops

 

Sticking with basketball, as we have previously reported, things are going to look a bit different in the high school games this winter.

The OSSAA reminds high school basketball fans that there are no more one-and-one free throws awarded starting this season. There will be two shots for a double bonus when the team fouls reach five at each quarter. The fouls then reset at the start of each quarter.

This means the scoreboard will show a max of five fouls.

Bartlesville head boy’s coach Clent Stewart gives his thoughts on how this could go. 

The OSSAA asks that fans be patient with officials and scoreboard operators, as this is a brand-new rule for 2023-24.
