The Oklahoma Sooners continue their run of good play in the Big 12 as they started out the tournament on the winners side with a 4-0 shutout over nine-seeded TCU. The Sooners got day one of the tournament off on Tuesday due to owning the best record and the one-seed, resulting in a bye.

The Sooners didn’t need much offense to grab the W today, with Braden Davis absolutely shoving on the mound today. Davis went the full nine innings surrendering just four hits and tallying nine strikeouts.

OU would get some breathing room on the base paths as Anthony Mackenzie and Jackson Nicklaus ripped back-to-back jacks to push the lead to four.

The Sooners now advance to play Kansas on Thursday at 12:30 in Arlington.
