Barnsdall Baseball Takes Home Caney Valley Tournament Trophy

 

Make it three wins in two days as Barnsdall was crowned champions of the Caney Valley Baseball Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Panthers topped Woodland 4-3 to take home the tournament title.

Senior Michael Marin showed exactly why he is a next level talent as he threw a complete game and struck out 10 Woodland hitters to notch the victory. Marin worked around seven hits allowed and three errors committed behind him defensively. Up 4-1 in the seventh, Marin allowed two runs but was able to shut the game down from there.

The Panthers had just four hits as they took advantage of four Woodland errors. Joe Cole had two hits and one RBI in the game. Barnsdall has won four of its last five games and is now 5-3 on the season. The Panthers are slated to meet up with Oklahoma Union on Monday.
