The Bruins are at home on Thursday afternoon for an early afternoon bout against 5A Skiatook. That game is set for 4:30 p.m. from Rigdon Field at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium in downtown Bartlesville.

Bartlesville is 1-5 so far to start the year. The Bruins lone win came against Enid last Monday in the home opener. BHS has struggled offensively as it has been shut out in three of its first six games. Although the Bruins have gotten good early returns from Harrison Clark who leads the team with a .375 on-base percentage through the first chunk of the season.

Newcomer Preston Berg has been impressive on the mound. His fastball-breaking ball combo has led to 16 strikeouts over his first 12 innings on the mound. Berg is 1-1 with a 2.33 ERA.
