As we continue to look back at the year that was in 2025, today we look at the Pawhuska football team. The Huskies finished the year at 11-2 with a Class A-1 semifinal loss to the Rejoice Christian Eagles.

Some of the 2025 highlights include road wins over cross-county rival Hominy, a big district win against Pawnee, a week ten come from behind victory at Morrison and a wild quarterfinal win at Wynnewood.

Kane Foreman passed for more than 3,000 yards and threw only three interceptions on the season. Vann Wildcat was a dominant running back all season long, but it was Jenson Snodgrass who made the biggest offensive play for the Huskies as they trailed by four in the fourth quarter against Wynnewood.

Pawhuska's season came to an end two weeks later when they faced off against Rejoice Christian. Coach Matt Hennesy said his bunch gave it their all in the 42-34 loss.

The following week Hennesy announced his decision to be the next head football coach at Bartlesville. That is a story we will have in the coming days as we continue to count down the top sports stories in 2025.
