Big Inning Costs OKWU Baseball Against Tabor

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball fell in the second round of the KCAC conference tournament to Tabor College on Friday night, 15-2.
The Eagles fell in an uncharacteristic hole early, Tabor scored 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Nine of the fifteen runs Tabor scored were earned. OKWU finished with three errors.
The bats were quiet for OKWU. The Eagles finished the night with just four hits, three of the four went for either an extra base hit or a home run. Alejandro Quiles hit a two-run home run in the top of seventh to finally get OKWU on the board. Victor Sanchez and Javier Marcial both hit a double.
Oklahoma Wesleyan now faces elimination as the top seed in the conference tournament. In order to survive, OKWU would have to win two games on Saturday to survive and play on Sunday.
The fight for survival for OKWU starts at 12:15 p.m. against the 4-seed York University in Joplin, Missouri.
A win puts the Eagles back up against Tabor at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday night.
