Blankenship Excited Three Months In

 

It hasn't been long, but things are looking good early on for Bartlesville football in 2018. The Bruins are into month No. 3 of the Lee Blankenship era.

Blankenship was hired just before Christmas to take over at BHS following the departure of John McKee and interim head coach Kyle Ppool from this past season. Blankenship says he feels like he has his feet underneath him at his new position.

Blankenship says so far, so good, as far as numbers of players out for winter and spring workouts - and in the number of guys who have signed up to play this spring.

Blankenship says about 85 boys have committed to try out for the squad in the spring. Blankenship won’t get an idea of his personnel until spring practices begin in May.
