The closings of schools across the state will affect athletics for at least a few weeks – if not longer.

The OSSAA has not released any information following Monday's decision from the Oklahoma State Board of Education to cancel school through April 6.

However, that choice will mean that school facilities and practices will be postponed at least until after this date.

No official decisions have been made regarding specific events during that time.

Assistant Athletic Director at Bartlesville High, Jason Sport, talks about the recent days and its effect on coaches and players at BHS.

Ultimately, Sport says that there is a good chance that decisions will be made above the head of the Bartlesville High Athletic Department, and he has good faith that they will be the best for everyone involved.

We will have more on not only Bartlesville High athletics, but statewide and national sports and its possible postponements or cancellations over the next few days.
