Bruin Football at Night to Stay Cool

Things are still hot in Northeast Oklahoma for high school football teams beginning practice, but they are coolier now than they are going to be,.
No action in pads until Friday for clubs in Oklahoma.
At Bartlesville High, the Bruins will practice at night this week to try to stay out of the sun. Things will change when the club gets back into school next week.
Temperatures were in the upper 70s when the practice-season kicked off on Monday.
Head coach Harry Wright says it was nice to get a little relief.
Bartlesville will have an inter-squad scrimmage during its Meet the Bruins Event at Custer Stadium on Friday night.
BHS will then host Ponca City for a scrimmage a week from Friday.
Bartlesville opens the season on Sept. 1 at home against Claremore.
