Bruin Football Culture Paying Off

We would normally be checking in on the area high school football programs this week, as spring football would be alive and well across the state.

Because of COVID-19, that is unfortunately not happening.

Offseason activities could possibly resume across the state within the next few weeks.

At Bartlesville High, the Bruins have continued to put in work during the pandemic. Head coach Jason Sport says this is the time where building the culture around your program starts to pay off.

Sport also made sure to give a shout out to Bartlesville strength and conditioning coach Daniel West, who all the Bruin and Lady Bruin coaches have praised this offseason.

We mentioned earlier this month that Bartlesville linebacker Rocky Shuman has picked up a few NCAA Division II offers. Junior offensive lineman Ridge Brewington has also started to receive some interest, and will have a chance to showcase his skills a bit more going forward. Sport explains.

The camp is the FBU Top Gun Showcase, which is scheduled to take place July 10-12 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

Brewington has also started to get evaluated by a few recruiting services.

Sport says Bartlesville will skip team camp this year, and will possibly still head to 7-on-7 drills later this summer if they are allowed
