Bruin Football Tries to Knock Off Bixby

Bartlesville High will begin district play against a monster right off the bat, as the Bruins travel to take on Bixby on Friday evening.

The Spartans have not lost a game since the beginning of 2018, it has been 764 days since their last defeat.

Bartlesville is 1-2, coming off a tough loss to Collinsville last week.

Head coach Jason Sport says it is not every day that his club gets a chance against a program like Bixby’s.

Bixby enters the game having not played for 21 days. The Spartans last took the field in a 42-35 win over Jenks on Sept. 4. Bixby had its game last week against Stillwater canceled, and it also had a scheduled bye-week earlier in the month.

Sport says he wants his team to take things one step at a time, and focus on playing each play.

Bartlesville last beat Bixby in 2015.

Bruins and Spartans will air on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 with a 6:30 pregame and 7:00 kick.

You can also listen online at BartlesvilleRadio.com and the Bartlesville Radio App.

We will have an audio stream of the game on KWONTV.com – but no video this week because of Bixby Public School’s no-live streaming policy.
