Caney Valley Looks to End Playoff Drought

District play is starting across Northeast Oklahoma this week, as week No. 4 is coming up on Friday.

At Caney Valley, Oklahoma, Ramona is buzzing about a 2-1 record for the Trojans. Caney Valley had a huge come from behind victory this past Friday, beating Drumright 14-13 in the final seconds. Caney Valley head coach Stephen Mitchell runs down the contest.

The winning touchdown came on a pass from Christian Colbert to Phillip Valentine with 23 seconds remaining.

This year is possibly Caney Valley’s best shot to make the playoffs since its last appearance in 2012. The

Trojans open up district play with a road contest against an area club on Friday night, as Caney Valley travels to Nowata.
