College Football Decision Looms

College football players are three weeks away from returning to campus in the Big 12. According to a release over the weekend, the Big 12 Conference will permit football student athletes to work out on campuses across the Midwest and South starting in June 15.

This is the latest in a string of positive news toward playing college football this fall amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Chris Low, analyst from ESPN says there will likely be football this year, but no one knows what that might look like.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have not publicly announced a date when their football players might be allowed back on campus.

The news from the Big 12 comes on the heels of comments from Sooner head coach Lincoln Riley last week - saying that June 1 is too soon to allow players back on campus.

OK-State head coach Mike Gundy has not spoken publicly on the matter since his much-maligned comments in April.
