Community Has Chance to Name the Bruin

The community of Bartlesville is going to get a chance to go to in Bartlesville High Bruin history, quite literally.
BHS announced on Monday that the athletic department has purchased a new Bruin mascot costume to replace the current one.
Bartlesville Athletics, in conjunction with the first home football game this Friday, is having a competition to name the new Bruin mascot.
The mascot, of course, is a brown bear - but the individual costume will now have a name - like the old Willie the Wildcat from College High.
Older students and the public at large is invited to try to name the Bruin. Multiple entries are allowed. The competition will go through Thursday with the winning name being announced on Friday at the football game against Del City at Custer Stadium.
For younger students in the Bartlesville School District, there will be a coloring contest as well.
You can download the coloring page, submit your Bruin name entries and find more information online at BPS-OK.org.
