Dewey Basketball Set To Open Season

 

The Dewey Bulldoggers open up the 2017-2018 season with a home battle against a familiar foe in Sperry on Tuesday. The Doggers will be without one of the best players on last year’s squad, Drew Miller, who graduated.

However, Dewey does bring back quite a bit of experience with three starters returning and eight seniors total on the roster. Head coach Lance Knight thinks that experience will benefit his team greatly.

The Doggers saw their season come to an end last year with a crushing one-point loss to Verdigris in regionals after a 12-13 season.

You can hear the Doggers take on the Pirates at just before 8 o’clock on KRIG 104.9 FM.
