Dewey Football Travels to Westville

Dewey football is back on the field on Friday night, as the Bulldoggers are looking for their first district win of the season.

Dewey wrapped up a tough four game stretch last week with a loss to Sequoyah (Tahlequah) at home, 40-0. It was the second week in a row that Dewey was shutout.

The Bulldoggers opened their season with three 3A teams, followed up by two unbeaten teams to start district play.

Coming out of a gauntlet, head coach Scott Sapulpa said his group can go on a run.

The schedule eases up with Westville this week. Out of Dewey's two wins last season, they beat the Yellow Jackets last fall, 34-16.

Sapulpa talked about the gameplan for Friday.

Dewey kicks things off in Westville at 7 p.m.
