Doggers Toppled by Morris

The Dewey Bulldoggers saw a result that was all too common this year as they got blown out by Morris, 48-6. Dewey had fireworks right out of the gate as Kale Carner took a quarterback keeper 58 yards to the house on the first play from scrimmage.

However, it would be all Eagles from there as they would score seven unanswered touchdowns. Morris had a punt return touchdown and an interception returned for a score as well, capitalizing on four Doggers turnovers in the first half. Morris led 30-6 at the break.

The Eagles would then add on three more touchdowns in third quarter to pull away and clinch the final playoff spot in 2A District 3. Rowdy Tate and Jack Davis each had an interception for Dewey.

The Doggers finished the season at 2-8 and 1-6 in district play.
