Eagles Sweep Past York

 

The Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball team’s earned a doubleheader against York College on Saturday. The Lady Eagles were able to earn a 61-50 victory despite shooting less than 30% from the field. OKWU forced 25 Lady Panther turnovers in the contest to earn its seventh straight win.

The Eagle men’s team pushed past York for a 90-71 win. OKWU was carried by Brooks Haddock who notched a career high 33 points. Haddock converted 16 free throws but also hit some big shots to put the Panthers away late.

Both teams are off until Tuesday when they will make a trip to Avila University in Kansas City.
