Harry Wright Previews Collinsville

We got our first look at Bartlesville High after the bye week with Bruin head coach Harry Wright during Wednesday night’s weekly radio show from Dink’s Pit BBQ.

BHS is getting set for another non-District battle against a tough 5A opponent in Collinsville.

Despite an 0-2 record to start, Bartlesville has succeeded on offense because of an outstanding beginning to the season from sophomore quarterback Michael Kent. Kent has at least partially accounted for 741 of the Bruin’s 835 yards this year.

Wright says it is walking fine line in trying to keep Kent safe but also let him loose.

Kent missed a couple plays in the Bruin’s most recent game against Claremore but came right back in.

Defensively Bartlesville will try to get off the field on third and fourth down. BHS has been somewhat successful in early downs but has not capitalized on their opponents’ mistakes.

Linebacker Shaun Thrasher talks keys for Bartlesville’s defense on Friday.

If you missed the coach’s show from Wednesday, it is archived on KWONTV.com.

Bartlesville is at Collinsville on Friday night at 7:00.
