Huskies Ready for Tough Road Test at Tonkawa

 

The Pawhuska Huskies got through a difficult 42-40 home win against the Pawnee Blackbears last Friday. A bye week lies ahead for the Huskies, but before they get there, they must face the most challenging test that remains on their schedule, a road trip to Tonkawa.

 

In coach Trenton Harmon's first year at the helm, the Buccaneers are 4-1 on the season with their lone loss being a nailbiter against Class 2A Stroud. Pawhuska coach Matt Hennesy says the good news is the Bucs will be a team Pawhuska is used to preparing for, unlike Pawnee.

 

As the Huskies prepare for Friday's road test, Hennesy says the players are starting to gel and Pawhuska is beginning to play as a team.

 

Pawhuska's game at Tonkawa kicks off at 7 p.m. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. and can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM. Video coverage will also be available on KPGMTV.com.
