The Doenges Ford Indians are still preparing for a 2020 season, as both the Indians and the sports world awaits some of the restrictions from COVID-19 to be lifted.

Bartlesville’s summer baseball team should be about 3-4 weeks away from starting its 83rd season. It is possible the season will be delayed if the CDC does not allow bigger gatherings within the next few weeks.

The Indians put out a 2020 player survey on their social media accounts this week. The survey is supposed to be completed by anyone who is interested in trying out for the club this summer.

The Indians also said they would have some tryout info soon. John Pannell is back to manage the team after a hiatus. He had previously been in charge of the program for a decade, and is still running the Glen Winget Tournament. Pannell says they will keep an eye on what the CDC is saying.
