Indians Home Opener Friday

It is the home opener Friday afternoon for the Doenges Toyota Indians, as Bartlesville’s summer baseball team is going to begin play at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium this afternoon.
The Tribe (0-1) will host the Kansas Curve for two seven inning games starting at 4:30 PM. The Curve topped Bville 9-2 in a single nine inning game on Tuesday in Wichita.
Indians veteran Grant Clark is slated to get the ball in game one.
This is the 90th season in a row that there has been amateur summer baseball in Bartlesville and it is the 84th consecutive season that Doenges has sponsored it.
Manager John Pannell talks about what Indians baseball has meant to Bartlesville.
There are 21 members of the Tribe on this summer’s team from eight different area high schools, including a handful of guys back from playing their freshman seasons collegiately.
The 4:30 first pitch game will air on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM. The 6:30 first pitch for game two will air on KWON with both games on KWONTV.com, as the Indians try to get their first victory of the 2025 season.
