Indians Maul the Moos

The Doenges Ford Indians have now on three games in-a-row after a 13-5 win over the Midwest Moos out of Kansas in one 9-inning game. Indians are used to double headers but got a one-off night game for Saturday. Things started off quickly as the Indians jumped out to a 3-1 lead after two innings.
Moos would fight back though and make it 3-2 after the top of the third, before the Indians added three more runs in the bottom half of the same inning to make it 6-2. Brendan Asher got the start on the bump, his first one this year. Asher was dominant in five innings of work, giving up only three hits and two walks, while also tallying six strikeouts including this one.
Jace Thompson and Kaden Young were named co-players of the game after Thompson went 4-5 with 4 RBI’s and one run scored. Young had a fantastic day as well going 4-4 with two RBI’s and scored two runs. Cole Hancock came on in relief of Asher after five innings and he would pitch the final four frames to hold that lead for the Indians. Hancock went 4 full innings, he did struggle a bit with control again, giving up four walks.
