Bartlesville High girls’ soccer is off to one of the program’s best starts in the past several years, as the Lady Bruins are 5-0 to begin the year.

BHS topped Bentonville, Arkansas in penalty kicks on Tuesday night.

The Lady Bruins were tied with Bentonville 1-1 after regular time. The match went 10-girls deep in penalty kicks before Bartlesville got the win. The victory last night was a continuation of an already fantastic beginning to the year. Head coach Aaron Kuntz says he thanks his veteran players.

Bartlesville had beaten Sand Springs, Putnam City West’s JV, Ft. Gibson and Edison Prep en-route to a 4-0 start before the win last night. Bartlesville has given up only two goals in its five games thus far. Kuntz talks about a few of the veteran cogs on this year’s team.

Both the Bartlesville boy’s and girls soccer teams will open up the home portion of their schedules  on Thursdy evening against East Central.
