Believe it or not college basketball is right around the corner. In a month’s time the Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s team will taking the floor for its 2019-2020 season opener against Calvary University.

The Eagles 2018-19 season saw plenty of highs as the team held the No. 1 national ranking for 36 days. The men’s team won its first ever Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title. OKWU also won 30 games before an unfortunate upset in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament.

The Eagles will have a new slate of stars to carry program after losing seven of its nine top scorers from a year ago. Donnie Bostwick is back for his third year as head coach and expects a sizable amount new players to contribute.

Senior Lance Tipton and sophomore Brooks Haddock both return after averaging double-digit points per game last season. Plenty more on OKWU basketball as the October 26 opener nears.
