OKU Football Thriving After Offensive Change

Another team in the area that earned its first victory of the season after struggling to get out of the gate was Oklahoma Union. The Cougars lacked an offensive identity in the early portion of the season, but after making a change to the spread offense in a loss against Rejoice Christian the Cougars finally started moving the ball proficiently during a 34-0 win last week over Ketchum.

Head coach Stephen Trammell talks about the changes on offense.

Rejoice Christian is the only 2-0 team in Class A District 6. With a 1-1 record thus far the Cougars have a real opportunity to put themselves in the playoff conversation this week against Quapaw despite the slow start.

Oklahoma Union is 1-4 on the season. Quapaw is 3-2 after a light non-district schedule but it has split two district games thus far. Action from Lenapah starts at 7 p.m. on Friday.
