OKWU Hosts St. Mary for Final Contests Before Winter Break

 

Oklahoma Wesleyan Basketball is set for one more doubleheader before heading into Christmas Break. OKWU will host the University of St. Mary for a Saturday afternoon double dip. Both Eagles teams have battled through tough opponents to post 5-3 conference records at the one-third mark of the season.

The Lady Eagles had brief stint in the top 25 but are unranked now. OKWU has won back-to-back contests over McPherson and Friends. Lady Eagles head coach Grace Hadley credits the victories to improved offensive decision making.

The men’s team is looking to come back after a crushing defeat to Friends on Wednesday. The Eagles three conference losses have come by a total of six points. However, the Eagles have not lost consecutive home games at any point in Donnie Bostwick’s second stint with team that started in 2017.

The action begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday from the Mueller Sports Center. Radio coverage can be heard on Sportstalk 1500 AM—99.1 FM KPGM.
