OU and OK-State Host Baseball Regionals

 

NCAA Baseball Regionals are set, as the 2024 Tournament will start this weekend. Just like in softball, both OU and Oklahoma State will be hosting Regionals.

At Oklahoma, the Sooners barely missed out on a top-eight national seed.

OU is the No. 9 national seed and will see a familiar foe in the first round.

The first-round matchup with Oral Roberts means that if ORU sticks with its usual pitching rotation, former Bartlesville High Bruin Jakob Hall will get the start in Norman on Friday night against the Sooners.

Hall was the starter in the Golden Eagles opening win over Oklahoma State in the Stillwater Regional in the same position a year ago. It was the first win in a run to the College World Series for ORU.

Duke and UCONN are the other two teams in the Norman Regional.

Meanwhile Oklahoma State is the No. 12 national seed. The Cowboys will face Niagara in the first round and will also host Nebraska and Florida in the Stillwater Regional. This is the third straight season OK-State has hosted a Regional.

Oklahoma State is the only school in the country to host both a softball and baseball regional in each of the past three seasons.
