OU Gets Some Afternoon / Evening Kick Times

OU football fans are rejoicing after the Sooners will have some more prime-time matchups during their inaugural season in the SEC.

The SEC announced several windows for kickoff times through the end of the season on Tuesday afternoon. This gives fans an idea of when their team’s games will be despite not being 100-percent finalized.

OU will only have two games at 11:00 or noon this fall. Sooner fans had gotten used to early games the past couple of seasons.

The early games for OU will be at home against South Carolina and at Ole Miss in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.

The first two of OU’s non-conference games will night games. Oklahoma will host Temple at 6:00 on ESPN to begin the season, on a Friday, Aug. 30. OU will then host Houston at 6:45 in week two on Sept. 7.

Other games against Tennessee, Auburn, Maine, Missouri, Alabama and LSU will be either afternoon or evening kickoffs.

Outside of Red River, no conference kick times are set.

We will carry OU’s first season in the SEC on 100.1 – KYFM this fall.
