Oklahoma basketball’s starting point guard Jamal Bieniemy announced that he is transferring to the University of Texas-El Paso. CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein announced the move on Twitter Thursday. Bieniemy announced last month that he was leaving the Sooners program. The move came as a shock to many as Bieniemy started 17 games for Lon Kruger in the 2019-2020 season.

The 6-5 guard averaged around five points per game in his Sooners career. Although he was a staunch presence on the defensive end. Bieniemy will have two years of eligibility reimaging after sitting out next season for the Miners.
